THORNBURGH AND JENKINS TO COMMEMORATE
Topeka, KS – Kansas Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh and Kansas State Treasurer Lynn Jenkins, CPA, will donate blood at the Jayhawk Area Agency on Aging (JAAA) Blood Drive at the Community Blood Center in Topeka on Friday, May 21 at 11:30 a.m. The event is scheduled in conjunction with the JAAA Blood Drive and Healthy Aging Day. The blood drive will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donors should contact Community Blood Center at (785) 233-0195 for an appointment.
OLDER AMERICA MONTH BY DONATING BLOOD
Along with the blood drive, health professionals from Assisted Healthcare, Heartland Home Care and Advantaged Home Care will be on hand between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to administer health checks. Staff from JAAA will be available to answer questions, give prescription drug counseling and distribute information on aging services for Shawnee, Jefferson and Douglas counties.
