Topeka, KS – Kansas Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh today announced a new annual report online filing service. This new service was created through a partnership with accessKansas and will enable business entities to complete the entire annual report filing process online at www.accesskansas.org, the state’s official Web site.
NEW ONLINE FILING SERVICE
Secretary Thornburgh said, “This new annual report filing service is an enhancement to our suite of online services and is another way the Secretary of State’s office is making state government more efficient. To date, more than 1,000 annual reports have been filed online. This new service is more reliable and is helping us meet our goal of being the ‘least complicated, most accessible agency in state government.’”
Previously, businesses were able to complete the annual report form online but were required to print the document and mail it in with payment. The new service allows business entities to complete the entire process online including payment with a major credit card. To file online a business entity must have an identification number that can be obtained at www.kssos.org or by contacting the Secretary of State’s office at (785) 296-4564.
Approximately 90,000 business entities are required to file annual reports. 95% of business entities can use the new online filing service.
