All documents filed with the Secretary of State’s Business Services Division are publicly available and may be viewed online at no cost. Certain records are provided in a certified format that may be purchased through our website. This includes certificates of good standing (also called certificates of existence in other states and countries).
All certified copies and certificates of good standing may be verified here.
Records Available Online Only
- Certificate of Good Standing: An official certificate establishing that the business entity is current on all required filings with the Secretary of State. In some jurisdictions, these are called certificates of existence or certificates of fact of existence. Certificates of Good Standing are available after payment of the required fee.
- File Stamp Copies: A non-certified copy of any document filed with the Kansas Secretary of State. File-stamped copies are available without a fee.
- Certified Copies: A copy of any document filed with the Kansas Secretary of State with a certification stamp conclusively establishes as a matter of law that the original document is on file with the secretary of state. Certified copies are available after payment of the required fee.
