APPLICATION PERIOD EXTENDED FOR WYANDOTTE COUNTY ELECTION COMMISSIONER

TOPEKA – Secretary of State Scott Schwab announced an open application period for the vacant Wyandotte County Election Commissioner position has been extended to Friday, January 29, 2021.
Pursuant to K.S.A. 19-3419, qualified candidates “…shall have been a qualified elector and a resident of the county at least two years prior to appointment.” Applicants must also be a citizen of the United States, 18 years or older and registered to vote. Although not required, preference will be given to candidates with the following credentials:
- Bachelor and/or Graduate degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Public Administration or related fields
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum of three to five years management experience
- Demonstrated experience in relationship-building
