Secretary Schwab Reminds Kansas Voters of Registration and Advance Mail Ballot Application Deadline

Tuesday, February 20, 2024

TOPEKA – Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab is reminding Kansans that the deadline to register to vote in the March 19 Presidential Preference Primary election is today, February 20. Unconventionally, today is also the deadline to apply for an advance mail ballot.

“I encourage all eligible Kansans to participate in this historic election,” Schwab said. “The Presidential Preference Primary is unique. The timelines and laws governing this election differ from other primary or general elections. One notable difference is today’s additional deadline of advance mail ballot applications.”

Kansans can register to vote or update their voter registration information online at VoteKansas.gov. Kansans may also register to vote or submit their advance mail application in person at their county election office or the Secretary of State’s office.

Per state law, in-person advance voting may begin on February 28, please contact your county election office for further advance voting information.
