Schwab Reminds Kansans of Election Night Reporting Webpage

Tuesday, August 6, 2024

TOPEKA – Secretary of State Scott Schwab reminds Kansans that the election night reporting webpage will go live on the Secretary of State’s website, sos.ks.gov, at 5 p.m. today to provide unofficial election results.

The website includes several features to allow for improved user accessibility. Users will be able to pick their top races, filter the results by political party, and find separate tabs for reporting on congressional and legislative races.

As a reminder, polls across Kansas close at 7 p.m. local time, after which unofficial results will begin to be viewable on the page.

“Although we are all eager for official results, please remember that election night results are unofficial,” Schwab said. “Official results are not provided until the County Board of Canvassers and State Board of Canvassers have certified the election and all ballots have been counted, including provisional ballots.”

Unofficial results from local elections, including sheriff, county clerk, or county attorney, can be found on county election websites.
