Secretary Schwab Announces Completion of Post-Election Audit
Monday, August 19, 2024
TOPEKA – Secretary of State Scott Schwab announced today that all 105 Kansas counties have successfully completed their post-election audits as required by state law.
“I am proud to report that all 105 counties have successfully completed their audits,” Schwab said.
The purpose of these audits is to verify that the hand count matches the vote count from the tabulation machines. Once each audit is completed, counties are required to submit their results to the Secretary of State’s office for final approval.
“Once again, our clerks have successfully administered another election,” Schwab said. “I extend my gratitude to all our election workers for their hard work.”
Information regarding the post-election audit can be found at sos.ks.gov.
