Notice of Meeting

The Kansas Historic Sites Board of Review will meet at 9:30 a.m. Saturday August 20, 2022, hosted at the Kansas Historical Society, Museum Classrooms, 6425 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas. We invite you to attend the meeting in person, virtually, or by phone. A link to the virtual portion will be posted on our website 14 days before the meeting, and can be found at https://www.kshs.org/14633.

The Board will consider the following items:

  • Approval of Minutes from May 14, 2022 meeting
  • Consideration of National Register Nominations
    (* denotes properties within a Certified Local Government boundary)
    • Claude and Alberta Brant House – Fort Scott, Bourbon County
    • East Lawrence Industrial Historic District Expansion – Lawrence, Douglas County*
    • Shawnee Indian Cemetery – Shawnee, Johnson County
    • Viking Manufacturing Company Building – Manhattan, Riley County*
    • Kress Building – Iola, Allen County
    • Post Rock Multiple Property Documentation Form – Statewide
    • Behrhorst Hardware – Sylvan Grove, Lincoln County
