Notice of Hearing

The Kansas Housing Resources Corporation (KHRC) will conduct a public hearing to provide an opportunity for citizens to review and comment upon the preliminary draft of the amended 2019-2023 Consolidated Plan and the development of the 2023 Annual Action Plan. The Consolidated Plan is the state’s policy framework for federal community development and housing programs.

The needs hearing will be held digitally from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2022. The public hearing will be conducted to receive comments on the proposed amended Consolidated Plan and Action Plan located at http://www.kshousingcorp.org. The proposed Action Plan will be available for public examination beginning September 1, 2022 at http://www.kshousingcorp.org. Hard copies will be available upon request. The public comment period ends September 30, 2022.

Estimated resources available in 2023 will include approximately $15,111,118 from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), $7,040,310 from HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), $3,000,000 from National Housing Trust Fund (HTF), $1,662,075 from the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and $691,970 from Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) programs. Individuals with disabilities or limited English proficiency are welcome to attend and participate in the public hearing.
