Notice of Requested Architectural Services

Notice is hereby given of the commencement of the selection process for architectural services for the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) Morgue Renovation. The renovation will allow for KUMC to meet capacity needs and maintain proper workflow within the existing morgue area. Sanitary lines in much of the current morgue are non-functional and will be replaced as part of the renovation. Existing HVAC capacity doesn’t meet current code requirements for the functional requirements of this area and will be upgraded with a dedicated air handling unit. Backup power will be added to the morgue so that coolers and freezers will remain functional if normal power is interrupted. Finishes throughout the entirety of the renovation will be upgraded to meet durability and cleanability requirements.

An architectural/engineering program is available at http://admin.ks.gov/offices/ofpm/dcc/arch-eng-programs. For more information contact AJ Woodworth at awoodworth@kumc.edu or 217-840-7501.
