Notice of Requested Mechanical-Electrical-Electrical Engineering Services

Notice is hereby given of the commencement of the selection process for mechanical-electrical-plumbing engineering services for the Kansas Adjutant General’s Department. Services are needed to construct a 50-kilowatt (kW) solar photovoltaic (PV) array on new parking canopy structures, 300 kW, 125 kW, and 70 kW emergency natural gas generators, and 1000 kWh battery storage system (BESS) to provide building-level microgrids capable of islanding mission critical buildings from the local utility distribution grid. All water faucets, shower heads and valves, urinals and water closets, and drinking fountains in Buildings 670, 2003, and 2005 will be replaced with low flow water and energy conserving units. Exterior components include automatic transfer switches, and microgrid control (electrical distribution). Electrical tie in with existing buildings to provide a micro grid of power, feeding existing buildings on the installation.

The project construction budget is approximately five million dollars ($5,000,000).
