Executive Order No. 23-02
Amending the Early Childhood Transition Task Force

WHEREAS, ensuring that all Kansas children and families have access to the necessary programs and services to provide our children with the best possible start to lifelong learning and healthy development is essential to the interests of Kansas;

WHEREAS, Executive Order 23-01 established the Early Childhood Transition Task Force to create a framework for a model single-agency governance structure for early childhood programming that consolidates initiatives and funding;

WHEREAS, the work of the Early Childhood Transition Task Force has been critical to reviewing the current early childhood care and education system in Kansas and advancing discussion of how services can be improved;

WHEREAS, additional voices and increased participation can contribute in the process of reviewing the current delivery system and further the work of the Early Childhood Transition Task Force;

NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the authority vested in me as Governor of the State of Kansas, I hereby amend Executive Order 23-01, to add that in addition to the appointments specified in paragraphs 1 and 2, the Governor may make additional appointments to the Early Childhood Transition Task Force as the Governor deems necessary. The provisions of Executive Order 23-01 remain in place and in effect.

This document shall be filed with the Secretary of State as Executive Order No. 23-02. It shall become effective immediately and remain in force until rescinded.
