Public Notice

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment, Division of Health Care Finance (KDHE-DHCF) is amending the Kansas Medicaid State Plan. The state is amending the Working Healthy Alternative Benefit Plan (ABP) to change the Medicaid authority from the 1115 waiver for managed care to the 1915(b) waiver.

The State assures that, as outlined in 42 CFR §440.345, EPSDT services will continue to be available to all eligible ABP beneficiaries and that the state will comply with the provisions of section 5006(e) of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

The proposed effective date for the State Plan Amendment (SPA) is January 1, 2024.
