Notice of Meeting

The Kansas Historic Sites Board of Review will meet at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2023, hosted via Zoom. We invite you to attend the meeting virtually or by phone. The meeting link will be posted on our website 14 days before the meeting and can be found at https://www.kshs.org/14633.

The Board will consider the following items:

  • Approval of minutes of August 5, 2023 meeting.
  • Consideration of Nominations for both National and State Registers.
    (* denotes properties within a Certified Local Government boundary)
    • Iola Theatre – Iola, Allen County
    • First Methodist Church of Eudora – Eudora, Douglas County*
    • Trinity Lutheran Church – Lawrence, Douglas County*
    • First Presbyterian Church – Lawrence, Douglas County*
    • Elk Falls High School Gymnasium – Elk Falls, Elk County
    • George L Morrow Barn – Spring Hill, Johnson County
    • Herington Army Airfield Chapel – Latimer, Morris County
    • Alten-Peak House – Manhattan, Riley County*
    • Union Church – Auburn, Shawnee County
    • Downtown Kansas City Commercial District – Kansas City, Wyandotte County*
  • Delisting of National Register Nominations.
