Public Notice

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment, Division of Health Care Finance (KDHE-DHCF) is amending the Kansas Medicaid State Plan. Radiology reimbursement rates will be changed as follows:

  1. All radiology reimbursement rates will be set to 85% of Medicare rates;
  2. Select radiology reimbursement rates that are over 100% of Medicare rates will be reduced to 100% of Medicare rates.

In keeping with 42 CFR ยง447.204, KDHE-DHCF is required to inform Medicaid members, providers, and other affected stakeholders that the agency does not anticipate service access issues due to the proposed rate changes. The agency requests input from Medicaid members, providers, and other stakeholders on these rate changes. As required by the regulation, the agency will analyze the received data.

The proposed effective date for the State Plan Amendment (SPA) is January 1, 2024.
