Authorizing Personnel Transactions

By virtue of the authority vested in the Governor as the head of the Executive Branch of the State of Kansas, the following transactions are hereby authorized:

The request of Kraig Knowlton, Director of Personnel Services, to establish the Resident Training Coordinator job classification and assign the job classification to pay grade 22 is hereby approved, effective November 12, 2023.

The request of Kraig Knowlton, Director of Personnel Services, to assign the Health Care Technician II job classification to pay grade 22 and place all employees in the job classification on the same step of the new pay grade as the step to which they are assigned in the current pay grade is hereby approved, effective November 12, 2023.

The request of Kraig Knowlton, Director of Personnel Services, to establish the Law Enforcement Officer IV job classification and assign the job classification to pay grade 40 and place all employees in the job classification on the steps of pay grade 40 is hereby approved, effective November 12, 2023.

The request of Kraig Knowlton, Director of Personnel Services, to provide a $1.00 per hour shift differential to employees in the Communications Specialist I, Communications Specialist II, Communications Specialist Supervisor, Highway Patrol Trooper Trainee, Highway Patrol Trooper, Highway Patrol Master/Technical Trooper, Highway Patrol Lieutenant, Law Enforcement Officer I, Law Enforcement Officer II, Law Enforcement Officer III job classifications, and the Public Service Administrator and Staff Development Specialist job classifications in Dispatch units in the Kansas Highway Patrol is hereby approved, effective November 12, 2023.

The request of Kraig Knowlton, Director of Personnel Services, to provide a $1.00 per hour weekend day shift differential to employees in the Highway Patrol Trooper Trainee, Highway Patrol Trooper, Highway Patrol Master/Technical Trooper, Highway Patrol Lieutenant, Law Enforcement Officer I, Law Enforcement Officer II, and Law Enforcement Officer III job classifications in the Kansas Highway Patrol is hereby approved, effective November 12, 2023.

The request of Kraig Knowlton, Director of Personnel Services, to provide a Grant Program Premium pay at a rate of one and a half times the employee’s regular hourly rate of pay to employees in the Highway Patrol Trooper, Highway Patrol Master/Technical Trooper, Highway Patrol Lieutenant, Law Enforcement Officer I, Law Enforcement Officer II, and Law Enforcement Officer III job classifications in the Kansas Highway Patrol is hereby approved, effective November 12, 2023.

I have conferred with the Secretary of Administration, the Director of the Budget, the Director of Personnel Services, and members of my staff, and I have determined that the requested action is appropriate.
