HB 2789, AN ACT concerning abortion; creating the abolish abortion Kansas act; making all abortions subject to criminal prosecution for violation of Alexa’s law; removing certain exceptions to wrongful death cause of action for the death of an unborn child when such death is caused by an abortion; amending K.S.A. 21-5419 and 60-1901 and repealing the existing sections, by Committee on Federal and State Affairs.
HB 2790, AN ACT concerning the department of health and environment office of vital statistics; relating to information regarding government-administered savings accounts; establishing the born to invest act; requiring the office of vital statistics to provide information regarding children born in Kansas to the state treasurer; permitting the state treasurer to provide informational materials on government-administered savings accounts for such children and such children’s families, by Committee on Federal and State Affairs.
HB 2791, AN ACT concerning gaming; relating to sports wagering; imposing an excise tax on all sports wagers at a rate of 3% of the amount wagered; creating the public education fund and the sports wagering privilege tax refund fund; transferring the proceeds of such tax to the state school district finance fund; decreasing the statewide property tax levy for school districts by 1.5 mills; amending K.S.A. 72-5133 and K.S.A. 2025 Supp. 72-5142 and 74-8733 and repealing the existing sections, by Committee on Taxation.
HB 2792, AN ACT concerning traffic regulations; prohibiting the use of a mobile telephone while operating a motor vehicle in a school zone or a road construction zone; amending K.S.A. 2025 Supp. 8-2118 and repealing the existing section, by Committee on Taxation.
HB 2793, AN ACT enacting the Kansas sports facilities authority act to establish a sports authority to provide for the construction, financing and management of certain sports facilities and sports facility infrastructure and create venues for professional sports and other events, by Committee on Appropriations.

SB 522, AN ACT concerning health and healthcare; relating to medical mandates; enacting the Kansas medical freedom act to prohibit the denial of an individual’s access to certain services based on such individual’s medical choices, by Committee on Federal and State Affairs.
SB 523, AN ACT concerning extraordinary events; authorizing the governor to issue a proclamation declaring the need for enhanced security for an extraordinary event; providing the governor with certain authority during an extraordinary event declaration, by Committee on Federal and State Affairs.
SB 524, AN ACT concerning public moneys; relating to the deposit and investment thereof; requiring banks, savings and loans associations and savings banks to enter into a written agreement with the state treasurer to be a depository of public moneys; increasing the market value of securities necessary to secure the deposit of public moneys; providing procedures for when a depository fails to follow the requirements of the state treasurer; modifying certain definitions; authorizing the state treasurer to assess a fee to operate the public moneys pooled method; creating the public moneys fee fund of the state treasurer; providing exceptions to the public moneys pooled method if accounts are subject to conflicting federal law; amending K.S.A. 9-1401, 9-1403, 9-1405, 9-1406, 9-1407, 9-1408 and 75-4201 and K.S.A. 2025 Supp. 9-1402, 9-1410, 12- 1675 and 75-4218 and repealing the existing sections, by Committee on Assessment and Taxation.
SB 525, AN ACT concerning immigration; relating to the enforcement of detainers issued by the United States immigration and customs enforcement by a county sheriff operating a county jail; requiring municipal insurance pools to provide coverage of law enforcement agencies enforcing federal law; requiring the state to pay certain judgments in federal civil action and provide legal representation by the attorney general; exempting section 287(g) agreements from certain provisions of the interlocal cooperation act; amending K.S.A. 12-2904 and repealing the existing section, by Committee on Federal and State Affairs.
SB 526, AN ACT concerning data centers; relating to the sales tax exemption for the construction or remodeling of a qualified data center; requiring any such data center to be located on land that was zoned and classified for industrial or manufacturing uses on July 1, 2025, if such land was subject to zoning regulations by a local zoning authority on or before such date; amending K.S.A. 2025 Supp. 74-50,331 and repealing the existing section, by Committee on Assessment and Taxation.
SB 527, AN ACT concerning the disposition of state real property; authorizing the secretary of corrections on behalf of the department of corrections and the state of Kansas to convey certain real property in Leavenworth county, Kansas, to Leavenworth county, by Committee on Assessment and Taxation.
SB 528, AN ACT concerning insurance; enacting the Kansas municipal self-funded health and prescription drug insurance pool act; relating to group-funded pools; establishing certain reserve, maximum exposure funding and reporting requirements for municipal self-funded medical and prescription drug insurance pools; amending K.S.A. 12-2618 and 12-2621 and K.S.A. 2025 Supp. 12-2620 and repealing the existing sections, by Committee on Federal and State Affairs.
