Schwab Announces New Senior Staff

TOPEKA – Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab announced the appointment of Michael Murray to serve as Special Assistant for Outreach starting March 3.
“Michael brings a wealth of experience in state government and will be a great asset to the office. I look forward to the opportunities to further expand the agency’s outreach efforts with respect to business services, regulation modernization, and elections to Kansans across the state, and Michael will play a key role in leading this effort.” Schwab said.
Murray earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Kansas State University. He has more than a decade of experience in state and federal government and governmental affairs.
Murray served as chief of staff for former House Speaker Pro Tem Blaine Finch and Senate Vice President Jeff Longbine and served on the staff of U.S. Senator Pat Roberts. Most recently he served as executive director for the Kansas Credit Union Association.
