Notice Concerning Kansas Voluntary Cleanup and Property Redevelopment Program

In accordance with K.S.A. 65-34,173, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) reports the following summary on behalf of the Voluntary Cleanup and Property Redevelopment Program for calendar year 2021. During this annual reporting period, KDHE received 16 applications with a cumulative total of 788 applications. The categories of applicants include agriculture (26%), industry (23%), commercial (17%), and oil and gas (23%). A total of three sites were remediated in 2021 with a cumulative total of 150 sites remediated. A total of 17 sites were issued No Further Action (NFA) Determination Letters in 2021. A cumulative total of 400 sites have been issued NFA letters.
