The Secretary of State’s office is one of four offices authorized by the Kansas Constitution. The duties of the office are defined by almost 1,000 state laws, with the primary responsibility for administering elections, collecting certain records of Kansas businesses, and publishing the official publications for the State of Kansas. Information about those services and duties can be found by navigating through the website or by contacting the office.

The Secretary of State's office will close at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 24th and be closed Wednesday, December 25th in observance of the Christmas holiday. The office will reopen Thursday, December 26th.
